INSTRUCTIONS TO EDITORS


Publication Decisions

Reviewer’s reports are sent to the editor in chief who is solely and independantly responsible for the final decision.

Peer review

In the review process, at least two suitable and independant reviewers specialists of the paper field will assess the article in time with fairness. It is the responsability of the editor in chief to ensure that the review process is properly adressed.

Fairness

Author’s race, gender, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy should not be a criteria in accepting or refusing a paper. Manuscripts should be evaluated for their scientific contents.

Confidentiality

During the review process confidentiality should be the rule. The names of both reviewers and authors should not be divulgated to each party by the editor.The editor must protect the confidentiality of all material submitted to Microbiology and Nature.

Declaration of Competing Interests

The editor in chief has to be fair by not being judge and referee in papers he or people he is connected to are involved in. Peer review process must be fair about this.
